Many towns in the area cancelled their fireworks celebrations because of the impending thunderstorms heading our way. Andover made the decision to go on with the show, and it was a huge success!
The weather held out, and local residents gathered on the field at Andover High School with their blankets and chairs. There was lots of food, music, patriotic attire and glow sticks & necklaces.
We met up with Ted Teichert, former Andover selectman and owner of Ted Entertainment. He takes the lead year round in raising the funds for making the fireworks happen every year in the Town of Andover. He also donated his entertainment services, keeping the party going with top hits and patriotic music. If you need entertainment services for your wedding, birthday party or business event, contact Ted at 978-475-1087 or visit his website.
We also had the opportunity to try some gourmet popcorn from Lady Jayne’s Gourmet Popcorn which was absolutely delicious! They had some really cool flavors like “Scotty’s Classic Caramel”, “Wicked Good Chedda”, “Jo-Jo’s Olive Oil & Sea Salt”. Then we had a refreshing Strawberry Snow Cone from Mikes Ice, and we enjoyed watching the manual crank of the machine crushing the ice for us!
The fireworks show was fantastic, and what a view we had! We really enjoyed the show, and we’re glad we brought our bug spray too!
All in all the 4th of July Fireworks in Andover was a huge success! Thank you, and we’ll definitely be back next year!
