Ron Carpenito, Top Haverhill MA Real Estate Agent, has been named Exchangite of the Year by the Haverhill Exchange Club on June 19, 2014.
The Haverhill Exchange Club is an all-volunteer service club dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Its nationally recognized programs include Junior Police, Fire Prevention, Trees for Tots, Read Across America, Youth of the Year, ACE Award and the Book of Golden Deeds.
The Exchangite of the Year is the highest honor that can be bestowed on an Exchange Club member. The award is recognizes an outstanding Exchangite who is active in the organization through participation in recruitment, new club building efforts, club/district leadership positions, major club or district committees, projects or fundraisers. The award also seeks to recognize individuals who give countless hours of their time to volunteer and consistently display a positive attitude while doing so.
Leanne Eastman, former Haverhill Exchange Club President said, “There is hardly a more passionate man than Ron Carpenito. He’s known for his strong will and dedication to everything he gets involved with and that most especially includes the Exchange Club.
A member since 2006, Ron joined the Club to get to know some people around town and to do some networking for his Haverhill MA real estate business. While he managed to accomplish those two goals, Ron’s involvement in the Club far surpassed even his expectations! Ron got involved in many of the activities, with particular focus on the Freedom Shrine and So Proudly We Hail Americanism programs. He also served on the Taste & Toast Committee, Book of Golden Deeds committee, is always front and center at the Santa Parade, handing out flags to the children on the sidelines. Not to mention Ron often brings his family along with him, instilling the importance of community service in his young daughter, Stephanie. Ron is best known for chairing the Membership Committee and organizing the “Homecoming” and “Member Orientation/Refresher Course” while also making friendly phone calls to new members or those absent from lunch for awhile, just to make sure everything is okay and that our members are happy.
Ron joined the Board of Directors under Eric LaFleur’s presidency and quickly rose through the ranks to become the Club’s President in 2010/2011. In his year as Immediate Past President, Ron became involved at the District Level as a District Director, a position he continues to hold presently.
In addition to his accomplishments on behalf of the Club, Ron is a friend to so many and has truly given meaning to the phrase “Exchange Club Family”. Ron is quick to make a joke and enjoy friendly banter with others and is even quicker to laugh at himself when the tables are turned on him. He has strong values and opinions and is not afraid to take a stand against popular vote when he feels strongly about a matter. He brings new ideas, an educated voice and a passionate heart to every Exchange conversation; he is truly a backbone to the Haverhill Exchange Club and an asset to the community.”
