Today’s Question: What do Realtors mean when they say “I’m launching a listing”?
What does it mean to launch a listing? In Massachusetts, Realtors use what’s called the MLS System. This is the central hub of real estate that is worked with in Massachusetts. Realtors put property information in, and then that information gradually funnels its way onto the Internet onto third-party websites. What agents have to do is fill out what’s called the MLS input sheet– it’s fairly complicated, and contains lots of behind-the-scenes information such as additional disclosures, details, and offer instructions on properties that you won’t find anywhere else. You will want to talk to your realtor about getting this information to be better informed in the process.
